Introduction
I suppose the first blog is always the hardest to write. So, I'm going to take the easy route and give a brief introduction of myself.

My screename is Graham 76, but my friends here at SW.com call me G76, and since we are all friends here, you can call me that.
I was born the year before ANH was released, and in the first few years of my life, I was aware of this phenomenon called "Star Wars", but was too young to really appreciate it. My first introduction to that galaxy far, far away came in mid 1980 when my teenage big cousin told me that she and her brother were going to see some movie called The Empire Strikes Back. Being only 4 at the time, my first question was "Is it a horror?"! I think I was probably influenced by pictures of some guy dressed in black wearing the most frightening mask I had ever seen in my young life.

Anyway, my cousins went to see it, and of course loved it. A few weeks later, the local cinema was showing back to back screenings of Star Wars and Empire, and my cousins took me to see them. As I sat there in the darkened cinema (looking rather like that fellow in the picture above), I was blown away by it all. My life would be transformed forever. Since that Summer's day in 1980, SW has been a major influence in my life. Not a single day goes by where there isn't something that I read, watch, or do that isn't SW related. To use Anakin's phrase - It is "in my very soul". Heck, even my 2 kids have SW related names!

Now that the saga is complete, I'm saddend that my own children will never experience the awe I did at seeing a new SW flick for the first time. But I can look forward to the 30th Anniversary celebrations next year, and SW back on the big screen with my son at my side.

So, that's about all there is at the moment. With nearly 30 years of SW experience behind me, I hope you'll enjoy the ramblings in my blogs, which I hope you will find informative, funny and just plain fun to read.

I'm G76 - and I'm very pleased to meet you.
