Greetings everyone. After reading so many of the excellent blogs on this site, it'll be nice to start writing one. Although I've been rather notorious for completely forgetting about blogs I start. hopefully that won't be the case for this one. Note the picture. That is the jet trooper in all his (it's?) glory! What an incredible unit in Battlefront.
I think I'll start my blog off with a little bit of my thoughts on the Star Wars novels:
I have never really been a reader of Star Wars novels at all. I've started a couple EU ones, but I can never seem to really get into them, or appreciate them. But a year ago I began to read the Phantom Menace novel, which was actually quite good, and gave some interesting insight to the movie. Then I went on to read the novels for IV, V, and VI, which were also all well written, and quite enjoyable as well. Then I listened to the Revenge of the Sith novel on CD.
For me this was by far the best of all the novels. (Although I didn't read the AotC novel, so I can't judge it against that one.) It has a very interesting writing style, and I love how it will give introductions to the different characters, and sometimes take a break to expain what it would be like to be a certain character in his/her current situation. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and detailed adaption of Revenge of the Sith that I'd reccomend to anyone who's seen the movie.
I'm still not a fan of any EU novels, though, but maybe that'll change as time goes on. For now, I think I'll draw this entry to a close.
