First entry and Star Wars Christmas gifts
If I had one resolution for 2008, it was certainly to start a blog on the official Star Wars website. Two months ago, I started reading almost all the blogs post here and commented some of them from time to time. I must say this community has grown on me ever since and I now feel the need to join it.

So, maybe it's a good time for a little presentation. I'm a guy of 21 years old, I'm French and I'm a Star Wars fan (obviously!) And that's it for the moment; you will certainly discover more on me as I blog on this website.

I must add that English is not my mother tongue and this blog is my first attempt at starting one so bear with me if my ramblings are not all that clear.

For my first entry, I will give a rundown of my Star Wars related Christmas gifts.

First, I got the Star Wars Vault in is French edition; so Star Wars Le Livre-Culte for those out there who understand a bit of French. It's an incredible collectible piece, very fitting with the 30th anniversary.

Next, I got the 30th anniversary boxset of the soundtrack of the OT. I had only the prequels soundtrack at this point so this boxset was a must have for me. If you already have the 1997 or 2004 edition, don't buy it, it's the same disks (with two additional ones but one you can buy individually if you want. The other is just a CD-rom and there is no actual music on it.)

My third Star Wars gift was the Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force. This piece is a wonder in all points from the marvelous art from Chris Trevas and Tommy Lee Edwards to the excellent job Ryder Windham did with the writing. I like the fact that it's written in-universe by the character of Tionne, in the period of the Legacy of the Force book series. If you are an EU fan, even a casual one, I highly recommend you check out this book.

Finally, I got two Star Wars quotable mugs. There are the ones with the droids, in the first scene from ANH. I now can drink my hot chocolate (an exotic beverage Lando introduced to Luke in the GFFA!) Star Wars style and it's very cool.

So that's it for my first entry. I hope it's not too bad of a starting point.

I wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone. I hope the best for all of you in 2008.

Welcome aboard! Your English is better than many a native speaker, so no worries there.

I also got Jedi vs. Sith and I'm loving it. The in-universe perspective is very cool and the art is amazing.

It was purely luck because it was around 9 AM in France and I had no idea. Certainly nice!

So that's it for my first entry. I hope it's not too bad of a starting point.

It's a wonderful starting point! Your grasp of the English language is most impressive! ;)

Welcome to blogging! You've taken your first step into a larger world! :^O

The Jedi Vs Sith book sounds interesting. I may have to look into that one.
