As usual, there will be spoilers in this entry but only in the second and third paragraph.
In my last entry, I have promised the introduction of a third new character, but this will have to wait, because I have more juicy news to report, from the ToyFair UK.
First, we have new image of Lego minifigs based on the new animated show thanks to the website
Jedinews. We can see in them
a 212th Attack Battalion Clone Trooper, Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi-Wan, Plo Koon,
the baby Hutt Rotta, the clone captain Rex,
Commander Cody, a Clone trooper,
Assaj Ventress,
a magna guard,
a Porax-38 starfighter ,
an AT-TE,
a V-19 Torrent starfighter and
an LAAT gunship. So all of these characters and vehicles will be in the show.
Now, it seems that all the Hasbro action figures are for now kept in a lock room and nobody can see them at the moment, according to a
report from the action-figure website. But the more interesting facts on that report is that the theatrical release for the Clone Wars series was confirmed by three different Star Wars licensees other than Hasbro. It seems the show will start in September on TV but will kick off in theater with the first 3 episodes prior to that.
Remember, back in November at the Hasbro Fall 2007 Analyst Event, the cat was already let out of the bag by Hasbro about a theatrical debut of the show on the 8th of August 2008. At the time,
TFN asked Lucasfilm for confirmation, but they only dodged the issue in their answer. Rebelscum also confirmed back in December in their
411 report that the theatrical release will use the first 3 episodes of the show.
Now, it seems to me that the theatrical release of the first 3 episodes of the show will happen, at least in the US and the UK but I hope everywhere in the world. I also hope for a worldwide television debut in September.
I think we can look for some confirmation, maybe till the end of the UK Toyfair and surely at the US Toyfair, in less than 3 weeks.
