Painting, painting, painting... Seems like that's all I've been doing the last few weekends. Oh, yeah, that's right... that IS what I've been doing the last few weekends!
I've been furiously painting canvas tennis shoes for several of my friends (and myself) in attempting to prepare for CIV! I started painting shoes several years ago and before the release of ROTS, I decided to paint a pair of Star Wars shoes. My "
prototypes" for the
SW shoes. I had previously painted a pair of Celtic shoes with Scottish flags, the Irish flag, shamrocks, a claddagh, and thistles on them. Then, I progressed to Harry Potter shoes before the last book release and proceeded to paint seven pairs of those for various members of my family (and myself, of course!). We had a blast in those!
You may recall that our dear fellow blogger (and my bestest buddy),
Jedi Master Mina received a pair of my shoes for her birthday!

She blogged about her trip afterward and provided pics of her new shoes.

They are entitled "
Light Side/
Dark Side". *smooches*
So, anyway, I decided that some of my other friends needed shoes and thought it would be a good idea to get them done before CIV so they could take advantage of the venue!
Our sweet
Amidalooine blogged after I sent hers to her and linked a pic of them. (((hugs))) They are called "
Turning Points".
I also, however, painted and sent a pair called "
Who She Was;
What He Became" to our own
Viagoangel
just cuz and then, because she is just the most generous soul I believe I have ever encountered, I just had to paint a pair for
Jedi Melinda Wolf!

Right up her alley, they
are entitled, "
Luke's Journey".
I then turned to myself and decided I needed a new pair for CIV (not that I don't love my first pair, but you know how it is) and chose to put Han my Man all over them!! Woo-hoo!! "
The Scoundrel" is
the title of
this pair.
Anyway, I ran out of time at that point and knew I couldn't get to any others before the convention (although at the last minute, I've decided to do one last pair for a very particular event...).

I've got a whole list of shoes to do after CIV!!
Well, I hope you've enjoyed the tour of my gallery! *tee hee*
I just had to share! (Boy, I've never linked so much in any of my blogs before! Whew!)
Hope to see those of you going to CIV there and hope to meet others of you at some point in the future! Take care all!!

And Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there!
