I was pondering the scene in A New Hope when 3PO is being lowered into his oil bath and he says, "Thank the Maker! This oil bath is going to feel soo good."

Not realizing it, he is speaking of Luke's father at that very moment!

If Luke had realized that, I wonder what would have gone through his head...

I wonder if Lucas had thought that far when he made ANH and if he already knew that Anakin was going to have made 3PO. It certainly makes the whole line that much more poignant.
