Okay, so I'm watching Episode II yesterday on HBO Family. It's only my thousandth or so time seeing the flick, but I noticed something I had never seen before. Maybe you guys caught onto it, maybe not. I'll share my thoughts either way.
Here we are, at the climatic battle at the end of the movie. The Jedi have arrived in startling numbers and they are combating the emerging forces of what will become the Confederation of Indpendent Systems. Of course, I speak of the Battle of Geonosis.
There's a lull in the battle, after many Jedi have fallen, and it seems that our heroes are surrounded by impossible odds. Then, from above, Yoda arrives with a vertible armada of freshly ordained clone troopers...
...but did you ever notice who saw them first? That's right. Padme. She points to the skies and shouts "Look!" and the Jedi follow her gaze.
Now I ask you, how is it that, on a battlefield of experienced Jedi - some of them legendary, such as Mace Windu - none of them felt the presence of Yoda and untold hundreds of clones scant meters above their heads? Why was it that a "mere girl" with no Force powers to speak of, was the first to notice them?
Mayhap Padme was keeping something from Anakin. Maybe from us all...
Hm...
