The circle is now complete.. wait a minute.
Christmas I completed my collection of the New Essential Guides or at least all they had at the time. Today when I logged on to SW.com i noticed that another book in the series is to come out about the force which will be fine addition. But even before this new book was announced there was and is something missing from the NEG line up.

Where is the New Essential Guide to Planets and Moons? I have enjoyed the updates from the original Essential Guides but from the originals the one I liked and used the most was Planets and Moons. I have been patiently awaiting the arrival of this new book and have yet to see it even on the horizon. This got me to thinking that 1 they are not going to do one at all. 2 They are doing something special for this one.

It seems to me that P&M could benefit from a lot of visual material because it is about place. Many of the places are not like anything on earth. National Geographic brings the world to millions through pictures so should P&M. The book would have to show landscapes, architecture, maps, plants, and animals of the different worlds from the GFFA. Perhaps an interactive galactic map to zoom into systems then planets. This I believe would best bee done via an accompanying CD-Rom or Just a CD-Rom by itself.

Could this be why it is taking so long? Or could this be just hope filled speculation. Even if they are not going all out for a new P&M I still hope they would publish one eventually.

Devlen I have actually just started my collection, sort of. And like you said I have not seen A new P&M. Maybe there going to introduce more planets, which are interesting in the Legacy series and want to put it in.
