Umm...I remember the opening of Vector Prime making it clear that Mara was older than Luke and Leia. I distinctly remember Leia's surprise that a woman older than her would be wanting to have children. I could have misread, but I'm pretty sure on this one.

Cool entry ! It's actually the first time I've ever read Lando's exact age ... Palpatine's and Mace's were mentioned more or less in 'The Insider's Guide', but now we know for sure.

What about the age of following characters ?
- Darth Maul
- Nute Gunray
- Tarkin
- Piett
- Bail Organa

That is a very cool list to have access too, I know in my own star wars library I probably have most of these details but this is very handy.
I run my own website, Lightsabre, and it's very database-based (given the nature of your job, if you ever have a spare five minutes, maybe you could drift over there and take a look, let me know what you think). We've been writing stories and doing art since 1982, so it's a pretty big database (1060 original characters, all with their own entries, appearances and details).
Anyway, very cool blog, I'll be back soon!

I've added a few specific in-universe dates established in Insider #84. 47BrS stands for "47 years before the Re-Synchronization." The Re-Synch took place at 35 BBY. This in-universe dating system is nearly the same as our earth-bound 12-month calendar listed year:month:date. I say nearly, because we decided to keep the idea of 368 days per year established in the West End Games RPG, which used a 10-month calendar. The 12 months of the 12-month in-universe calendar have never been given names.

According to Wizards of the Coast's first SW roleplaying game rulebook (p. 245), Mara Jade is 45 when the Yuuzhan Vong invade, so if you do that math, that's 20 BBY.

Just being helpful! :)

I am curious...I realize that Mara's age has been a subject of debate in the past. Is this -18 date the new official one, or is it an error?

And is that date for Jango Fett correct? For some reason I had it as -68.

I could move this to the Character Age and Timeline discussion thread if you'd rather....

whoah...Qui-Gon is older than Palpatine? Dooku is older than Palpatine? Am I reading that correctly?

Yes. Palpatine's age is actually close to actor Ian McDiarmid's age at the time of the filming of Ep I (early 50s). Qui-Gon's age is from the backstory created for the character (though it differs markedly from actor Liam Neeson's actual age.) It makes sense that Dooku would be older than Qui-Gon since he was his Master (actor Christopher Lee's age when filming Ep II nearly matches the age of his character).
