Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy
Star Wars: A Pop-Up Guide to the Galaxy by Matthew Reinhart should now be in stores.

There's a sample rancor spread shown on the starwars.com feature here, but the photo does not do the book justice. On each spread, the corner panels open up to reveal smaller pop-ups, which themselves sometimes open up to even smaller pops. And if you've ever seen any of Matthew Reinhart and/or Matthew Sabuda's other works, much of the art is in the actual unfolding of the pop-up.

Don't expect to find much in terms of new information; this is more a celebration Star Wars in pop-up form that goes lightyears beyond any of the previous Star Wars pop-ups in terms of paper engineering.

To really get a taste of what we're talking about here, check out some of the videos from an exhibition in Japan devoted to Robert Sabuda - Videos from Japan Seibu Gallery.

Awesomeness. I've actually been avoiding the online reports about this book 'cause I want to experience it firsthand...
