 | Fett, Hero or Anti-Hero? |
Is Boba Fett a hero or an anti-hero? If you watch the Star Wars films, you get the feeling that he is the product of his upbringing - and a man who has a quite reasonable hatred of Jedi - from his point of view.
However, he is a ruthless bounty hunter, who is shown to have limited honour and who is willing to put everything on the line to obtain his target. Does this make him irresponsible, or just a man who is so sure of his ability that it becomes a matter of everyday life to put it all on the line?
In the comics and books that are supposedly "cannon" in the Star Wars universe, he shows his particular form of honour. He also shows, in later life, the ability to adapt and help others when the situation requires it (see NJO novels where he covers Han Solo's departure). Is he just a man taking advantage of the situations that seem to form around him?
Let me know your thoughts.
