As well as learning how to commune with the Jedi Ghost of Qui-Gon, did Obi-Wan develop a faster teaching process for training a Jedi? In addition to this, how is it that Obi-Wan did not have the skills with which to commune with Qui-Gon, when Luke seemed to be able to do so naturally?
If Obi-Wan had been communing with Qui-Gon, could it have been that he learned new tricks from his old master? It would certainly help if you were able to directly confer with a being that existed within the Force itself. Maybe Qui-Gon was able to channel through Obi-Wan.
Bearing this in mind, and the growing capabilities of an already awesome Jedi Master, could Obi-Wan have used his Jedi power to subtley alter Lukes own wishes and perceptions as he grew up? Could he have supressed Lukes own Jedi capability and hidden it from the Empire - only letting it bloom when there was no other option - or when Luke's natural ability became too powerful?
Maybe I just think too much...
