I must first point out the blog that inspired me to write this entry, after I read
mirax7's blog entry an idea began to form in my mind. What was Yoda doing over those 20 or so years? The answer is simple, speech lessons!
After interviewing several of the swamp creatures in the area I finally pieced together what an encounter between a speech teacher and Yoda went like.....
Yoda: Mmmmmmm, into my hut you must come.
Tutor: (groans) I have a lot of work to do...
Yoda: Hmmm, some of my stew will you try? Made from weed rat it is.
Tutor: No...uh...thanks. Let's get to work, repeat after me... "We must destroy the Sith."
Yoda: "Destroy the Sith, we must."
Tutor: No, no. Typically, one wouldn't use a helping verb at the end of a sentence, if you do, then what does it help?
Yoda: Errrr, a trick question this is?
Tutor: No, "must" is a helping verb, it goes along with the word "destroy". It usually goes before. Like this... "We must destroy the Sith."
Yoda: "Destroy the..."
Tutor: Noooo! "We must..."
Yoda: A famous line this is, destroy it, you must not!
Tutor: (irritated) Well, do you or do you not want my help?!
Yoda: (impatient) Yes! Yes! Help me you will!
Tutor: Okay.
Yoda: (struggles) We...must...the Sith destroy!
Tutor: Master Yoda, want to learn you do?....
Yoda: Ha! Talk like me you did!
Tutor: Nooooooooooo! Corrupted my mind you have!
(Yoda claps happliy)
Yoda: Learning well you are!
Tutor: Nooo, I...came...to you teach!
(The tutor runs away in a panic)
(Yoda slyly grins)
Yoda: Powerful the Force is, on the weak-minded.
Heh-heh! A sly one Yoda is...oh no, now speaking like Yoda I am! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
With us all the Force may be! God bless!
