Did I lure you in with a very odd title? Well, it's not just to make you click on this blog; it's true.
Of course, as much as I dislike shopping for groceries even now, I hated it when I was nine or ten. Why? Why would the grocery store haunt me with fear, why did I want to stay away, why would I walk through with my eyes half closed?!.................................................Two simple words.
Bat Boy.
Do you remember? Half boy-half bat? That face scared me half to death! It was on the front page of those stupid fake news magazines like the
Weekly World News. Worst of all, as a ten year old, I actually believed that he was real. I also believed that Elvis was found in a life-preserver in the Gulf of Mexico. Yeah. Anyway, back to the topic. I would never even dare to look at the magazine racks as we passed by, but I could never resist.
It'd been a while since I'd even thought about him. Heck, it's been 6 years since I've even seen a picture. It was brought back to my mind as I was looking at a Batman figure lying around the house. I started wondering about why Robin wasn't called Batboy. Gasp!
So, last Friday I decided to write this blog about my old fear, my old nemesis, the face that scared me to death! Well, I figured, Wikipedia has an article about everything, and sure enough, there he was. As the page loaded I turned my face away. Slowly I looked at the screen...heh-heh. You know, I really wasn't that afraid. After I read the article I felt like laughing. So that's what I was afraid of...
Then, over the next hour I started feeling the urge to look in little corners. As I was mowing the front lawn I checked behind me to assure that there were no Mini Coopers driving down the old road. After all, if he endorsed Al Gore, he must be evil.

(Sorry about the political joke, but I couldn't pass it up.)
May the Force be with us all! God bless! By the way, don't forget to check out the updated
Weekly Award Blog!
Even now as I write this blog there are questions...Wait, what's that?! Oh no! Gah! *choke* *gasp* NOOOOOOOOOOOO....!
