 | Decisions, Decisions |
 Hey everyone,
So, since I've got this job I've actually gotten some extra money to spend. Anyway, besides buying gas (groan), helping with paying some of my car insurance (becuase to add me to my parents' policy will cost an extra 100 bucks a month for 6 months), and the new figures (of course!), I've decided I'm gonna buy a handheld video game system.
This is where I need your advise. So, I've been looking at the Nintendo DS. At my local Toys-R-Us it costs $130. Of course, on the other side of the aisle there is the PSP. It costs $200. Now, for me, the money difference isn't too very important seeing as I'll make enough to get either. Now, my little brother, who is 10, is telling me to get the DS. The only deal is, I already have a Nintendo video game system. The Wii. I have an Xbox (not a 360), but I have no PlayStation consoles. I hear that the PSP has better graphics and can play music. Well, personally, I don't really care much for the music. Another fact is that the DS has more games out for it at my Toys-R-Us. Hmmmmmmmm.....so I'm pretty confused right now.
Yeah, I know that this isn't a life or death decision, but I want to make the most of my money.
In other news, my aunt and cousin are in England right now. I wish I could have gone too. Scout, my dog, went through another bad spell but is looking good today. I think he was getting too hot so we are letting him come inside during the heat of the afternoon. Anyway, I'm working on a blog about the Chosen One prophecy but I've come to a halt on my ideas.
May the Force be with us all! God bless!

I do not have either system, but I got my brother in law the PSP for christmas. Not sure about the DS but the PSP can also play movies - and they look really good on it. So there is another feature to help make up the $70 difference.

Cool!
My 10 year-old grandson says to go for the PSP! And he would know...
Sounds good to me! I'll still have to decide though. Both systems seem to have good points and bad points. I guess it's all about what capabilities I care about the most.

Of course it's a life-and-death decision!!!
I've got a 360 and a killer PC (no kidding...) but I've been drooling over the PSP for a while now, and my computer whiz cousin who's going out for the KOTOR MMO job says the PSP's the one!

Yeah, I know what you mean! I cranked out a great blog today, and have got another funny one planned for tomorrow, but I wanted to do a serious one on Dooku and Anakin, but so far....
By the way, if you go for the PSP, there's a really nice Darth Vader Special Edition version, which comes with the game Battlefront II: Renegade Squadron, and is embellished with a picture of Vader himself on the back of the PSP. Needless to say, it's REALLY, REALLY nice, but kind of hard to find. I'll try to get you a link, since I FINALLY fixed my antivirus to stop being so paranoid and allow urls!!!!!

Okay, I don't really remember where I saw the Vader PSP, but I would try NewEgg. It's most likely there, I just don't have time to check right at this moment.
I submitted the comment above twice, so I apoligize if it shows up twice. Just delete it...I won't be too offended!

Hey, ner vod! I'm baaaaak!
I just read a few of your entries on Scout, and know exactly what you are going through.
We used to have two American Eskimo dogs since they were puppies, Sweet Pea and Big Mama, and they got into some slug & snail poison. That was a nightmare, and after several major treatments, overnight stays at the vet, and massive bills, Big Mama came out okay, but Sweet Pea...well, she's with Qui-Gon now...
So I'm glad Scout's okay, and let's hope he stays that way.

I don't know if I'm late getting to this or not, but I've enjoyed the DS alot more myself personally, and I own both of them.
They do both have their own good and bad points, but overall I find the game lineup is what really sells the DS. With games like Phantom Hourglss, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorny, Advance Wars: Dual Strike, and many others, it's able to surpass the PSP's somewhat limited library.
However, there's not really a bad choice either way.
Ah, I remember getting the Star Wars bundle PSP... that Vader PSP rocks.
