Clone Wars Speculation
Hello all,

I left my original thoughts on the Clone Wars here if you'd like to read them. So, I predicted that after this movie came out we'd have quite a bit to discuss. It seems like not as much as I thought, but I came up with a question.

As we well know, any character seen in Episode 3 or beyond cannot die. Not only that, but the directors have to make a reason why we don't see certain characters later on. Primary among these characters are Asajj Ventress and Ahsoka Tano.

While I believe I heard somewhere about Ventress escaping into the Outer Rim ?:| I've heard nothing about Ahsoka. It would be easier for the directors to make Ventress magically appear, but seeing as Ahsoka is Anakin's Padawan....well, you gotta have a good reason for her to disappear. The way I see it there are 3 possibilities....

1. Quite simply, she dies. This theory may not be too far off the mark. Anakin, at this stage, doesn't seem to have much of a dark side about him. But if his own Padawan, whom he seems to have grown close to, dies then he would turn further down the dark path. This is a very easy way to make someone important be gone. But it's a no-brainer; I think the producers are smarter than that.

2. She gets reassigned. This makes sense. After perhaps a serious incident or disagreement the Council decides Anakin isn't ready for the responsibility of a Padawan learner. Quite simply, Ahsoka is reassigned to another Jedi. This could further Anakin's distrust of the Jedi Council. Still kinda a no-brainer though.

3. (Here's my crazy theory) It's all a test. Did you hear Yoda tell Obi-Wan that it'd be harder for Anakin to "let go" of Ahsoka than to accept her as his Padawan. Now, think about this. Yoda knows that Anakin struggles with attachment. Would Yoda be willing to test Anakin by giving him a Padawan and letting him get attached to her and then taking her away? Would Yoda do this so Anakin would learn to "let go" of everything and everyone he loves? That seems pretty dark for Yoda, but he's capable of such. ;) Perhaps........... I guess we'll see as the series progresses.

Tell me what you think!

May the Force be with us all! God bless!
