So, this year October 31st came around pretty quickly. I wasn't sure whether or not I'd dress up because not only am I 16, but I'm 6 feet tall. Needless to say I look a little big. But, considering that my bro was going with my cousins and his friend I decided to dress up.
So, I used a nerd half-mask that I had bought two years and dressed up with a nerdy shirt, pants, suspenders, tall socks, etc. It looked pretty funny! I'd send a pic but I don't have a Photobucket account or anything. I might send one to y'all guys Kyle, JJ, and QGR (wherever you are, yes, I know you're there)
So, I had planned on simply walking the streets with my bro and friends. However, my brother's friend had a 17 year old sister who was going around to the houses also, so I thought, "What the heck? Why not?" So, I went up to the first house lined up after my short cousin and followed by my brother's friend's sister. Oh, even though she's 17, she is a good foot shorter than I am. So, when I got up to the door, a head taller than everyone, I got a few funny looks and collected my...........eraser? Yep, I got an eraser. Granted, it had a picture of a 20 dollar bill on it but still.....
Well, I gained my confidence again and went up to some more houses. I said "Happy Halloween" in my nerd voice (which is quite realistic) and got a few laughs.
We had some funny times. One of which was when I got beat out by a Hannah Montana to get the last popcorn ball a house was offering. So, while I was telling my cousin about it we decided to sing "Best of Both Worlds" by Hannah Montana. When we finished we used the Force to mind-wipe everyone and decided to never speak of us singing that ever again. Well, I guess I just told all of you....... *uses the Force to mind wipe all of the bloggers* Ha! ha!
I've got to say that I saw a lot of Star Wars outfits out there. I saw at least 3 Vaders, 2 clones, 2 Yodas, oh, and I saw one Joker. After I had passed the Joker I thought, "Man, I should have asked him, 'Why so serious?'" But I was really impressed with the amount of Star Wars costumes. It proves that Star Wars is forever!
All in all I came home with a pretty decent haul. As usual my bro and I traded candy and argued over "unfair trades". Ah, the joys of Halloween. I must say though, it was funner trick-or-treating as a group than when we'd go as just our family. Not that it wasn't fun then too, but it was just cooler with a group.
May the Force be with us all! God bless!
