"Do you remember your mother? Your real mother?" Luke to Leia. There have been many blogs discussing these words but I believe that I have finally come to an explaination.

First of all, let's consider what I think has been come to believe. Leia knew that she was adopted. Well, in this case she must be speaking of Padme when she answers Luke's question, because by all reason Mrs. Organa probably lived for at least several years after Leia's adoption and Leia would have clearer images of her. So, after Luke tells Leia that he's her brother, she must be thinking, "How did he know?" "Who told him?" "Who else knows?" So in this scenerio, Leia is full of questions with no answers. And plus, Luke was born before Leia.

Next, another accepted view that Leia didn't know that she was adopted. She sure acts like the Organas are the only family she's known. So now she probably thinks that Mrs. Organa is her mother and we can assume that she died. So, here is another complication, she must be thinking, "Where was Luke all this time that I've been growing up?" "Why did I never see him?" "Bail Oragana is Darth Vader?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" So here, Leia considers Luke a liar or considers the Organas a liar. Which one?

So my conclusion? I think that Leia originally spoke of Mrs. Organa but was corrected by Luke. I see it that either way Leia has a lot of questions in her mind. Did she think of Padme or Organa? Did she know that she was adopted or not? Which way did she take the fact that Luke was her bro?
