Qui-Gon : Dead, but not forgotten.
Hello, today we mourn the death of Qui-Gon, although he died a long, long time ago, we salute his courage.

How many Jedi, would stop during a time of invasion to help a freakish looking creature. How many Jedi would try to save this creature's life? How many Jedi would bet their only possible chance of escape on a boy and a pod-racer? How many Jedi would take this boy to the Jedi Council and try to get his dreams to come true?

Plus, when people try to remember all of the main Jedi, Qui-Gon often gets forgotten.

This Jedi was kiled by a ruthless Sith, but he stuck around long enough to give his victorious padawan one last request. One request, from a selfless man, one request from one who had given so much, expecting nothing in return. One request, that would change the fate of one boy, and of the whole galaxy. Although it seems that this request turned out to be the undoing of the galaxy, it eventually gave birth to a new hero, and saved the galaxy from the evil Emperor. It was the request that Anakin be trained. One request that changed the galaxy for the better.

Qui-Gon was often thought of as having maverick views. He wanted to do things his own way. But he wasn't selfish, he did what he had to do to make the world a little brighter for every human, creature, or animal that he met along the way.

So, in conclusion, we remember Qui-Gon, a brave Jedi and a loving master.

Feel free to post a little comment on what you admire about Qui-Gon the most, or just post a little goodbye to our Jedi friend.

May the Force be with us all! God bless!

I think Qui-Gon was one of the greatest Jedi Masters! He was patient, kind, and wise beyond his years. Not to mention how intune with the living Force he was. I wish he had lasted through more than just one of the films!

A fine eulogy, MM13! :)

I agree, Qui Gon is a great kid. I remember seeing Ep. 1 for the first time and being devastated by his death. He's a great Jedi that truly deserves recognition. Let us also not forget that if he hadn't have trained Obi-Wan to become a Force Ghost that Luke would have had no hope. he wouldn't have blown up the death star and he wouldn't have brought vader to the light.

Qui-gon is quite a guy, and I think he recived a well earned reward when he was able to learn the secret of after death life. Then he passed on to his friends. That makes a truly great jedi master.

I always thought Qui-gon would have been a much better master/teacher for Anakin.

Quiggy is the coolest Jedi ever. He's like the awesome teacher you had in high school or the cool boss who let you have time off to go see ROTS on opening day ;). He's pure mystic, an example of what it means to serve the Force instead of just following Council rules.

We all have a lot to thank Qui-Gon for. He found the secret of immortality. He taught it to Yoda, Obi-Wan etc. Without him, maybe they probably wouldn't have become Force 'Spirits'. What it all boils down to is- Qui-Gon is the MAN.

I will always be a big Qui-Gon fan.

Thanks for the blog mastermonkey!!

i sometimes think that it would have been better if he lived until ep3 but then he would have probs died from a clone betrayel and not an hounerable death finghting for what was right

RIP Qui-Gon Jinn
