Disney's Star Wars Weekends #3
Has anybody else noticed that these weekends are seeming far too short? Three days of Star Wars in a week just aren't enough!

This past weekend was far less crowded than the previous two, in my observation. I was only able to stay for one and a half days, and time (and timing) were crucial. So you can imagine that, once again, Friday morning saw me practically chewing on my fingernails in impatience waiting for the gates to open for non-Resort guests like me.

I was second in the not-lucky-enough-to-have-a-room-in-a-Disney-Resort line, so as soon as the gates opened, I was charging down the street as fast as I could go without appearing to be running. But to my surprise, the autograph lines were not very long at all! Orli Shoshan's (Shaak Ti) line was a bit longer than the line for Jay Laga'aia (Captain Typho) but even so, we got early second session tickets for both, when in previous weeks we were lucky to get tickets for the end of the third session. I even got a FastPass for Warwick Davis!

Next was, of course, time for Who Wants to be a Millionaire-- Play It! Star Wars Edition. A young man named Stephen got into the Hot Seat, and played spectacularly. Unfortunately, he missed the Million Point question. Later on, though, he won the Tatooine Trivia Trials. Good job, Stephen! :)

Once again, there was practically no wait inside Wicket's Warehouse! I did see one curious thing, however. The order forms say "Limit 2 Limited Edition Items per Customer", but there was one guy in front of us in line who must have bought 30 of this weekend's limited edition pins! What was up with that? ?:|

Stars of the Saga was fantastic. The special guests were wonderful, as was Mr. Davis (of course) :D. Jay Laga'aia was hilariously funny with his Elvis impression, and I nearly fell over laughing when Ms. Shoshan tried to teach Warwick Davis how to walk like a runway model. It takes talent to be so funny, and all three of our celebrities this week are extremely talented. :)

Next was the triple-whammy; three autograph sessions back to back to back. All of the stars were very kind and friendly. :) When I asked Warwick Davis to autograph my WWTBAM cap, he recognized me immediately. We talked for a few moments, and he signed my cap "Rachel, Well Done!"

We watched the Tatooine Trivia Trials, and as I mentioned before, Stephen won. After that, it was threatening rain, so we left the park and quickly ran over to the Magic Kingdom to claim a few prizes I'd won in a very fun and addicting online game called Virtual Magic Kingdom, or VMK.

Saturday, I didn't need any autographs, so I got up late and got to the park after 9:00. :O We rode the Great Movie Ride, then went to WWTBAM. During the second show, my friend Tom (Darth Beagle) got into the Hot Seat! Great job, Tom! :)

The "infamous" Thor also got the Hot Seat, and was his characteristically... odd... self. His cockiness worked against him, and chewing his trademark purple plastic knife didn't help, so he lost on the 64,000 point question. I assume he won the Trivia Trials, but I didn't stay to see.

After WWTBAM, we went to Journey into Narnia, then it was time to leave. :(

Next weekend we'll be joined by Temeura Morrison and Jeremy Bulloch, the two Fetts! And while I can only be there on Friday, I hope to see all of you there! :)

May the Force be with you,
