The series of unfortunate events that tried their best to prevent me from getting the SW DVD are here presented.

7:00 AM I rise, and get showered and ready.

7:40 AM I have a cup of tea before heading out

7:45 AM My car fails to start. I discover the battery is dead, possibly from the terminals being loose. Being pressed for time, I do not have time to give myself a jump.

7:50 AM I leave the house in a different car

8:00 AM I arrive at Wal-Mart. At a display near the door, I pick up Battlefront II for XBox. Things are looking better.

8:02 AM I arrive at the DVD section, and retrieve three copies of the film, packaged with Wal-Mart's bonus disc. One for me, two for friends not lucky enough to have a chance to go into work late today.

8:05 I check out, but the DVD's are scanning at $19.96 each, when the sign said $14.96. I tell the cashier that's wrong, she pages the DVD section.

8:07 No one comes.

8:09 Still no one. I run back to the DVD section. No one's there. Apparently Wal-Mart doens't see the need to have employees in every department.

8:10 I rip the price sign off the SW display and take it to the front.

8:11 The sign doesn't help her, but finally a manager comes to take it and go to the DVD section.

8:16 I am told that the bonus disc w/ DVD is 19.96, only those without the bonus are 14.96.

8:17 I throw a fit! This isn't a "FREE BONUS DISC!!!" WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! To top it off, there aren't even any DVD's without the disc included back there! This is false advertising and price gaming!! YOU PEOPLE ADVERTISE THE BONUS DISC, BUT DON'T PUT A PRICE IN THE CIRCULAR, AND YOU MAKE US COME HERE AND SEE THE GAMES YOU PLAY!! TO TOP IT OFF, I HAD TO WAIT FOR YOUR INCOMPETENCE TO GET AN ANSWER, BECAUSE YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE AN EMPLOYEE BACK THERE!!

8:20 I pay 19.96 for the DVDs, continuing to make a scene with some foul language. I am asked to leave.

8:21 I leave with my merchandise, never to return to this partcular Wal-Mart for a long time, maybe forever!!

Let me say this, I am not one to make a scene, and can be very patient and understanding in a store. But this was ridiculous. If it wasn't for that bonus disc, i would've left and gone straight to Target.
