Something insidious has crept up recently: too many fans take Wikipedia (or Wookieepedia) as gospel instead of relying on genuine source material. I realize that everyone can't buy all of Lucasfilm's publications and everyone can't possibly memorize all of Star Wars. I'm not knocking the wikis as I've used them myself, but they can't always be trusted.
Such is the case of Captain Antilles.
Here is their incorrect article:

Here's a discussion on why the article is wrong:
http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Talk:Colton_Antilles
In 1976, in the ANH novel, the Captain of the Tantive IV was called Captain Colton. In the 1977 film, he was called Captain Antilles. As a throwback to the old school days, in ROTS Captain Antilles was seen as a young man and given the first name
Raymus. The other Captain on the Tantive IV, played by Jeremy Bulloch, was named Captain Colton as a throwback to this old-school reference. But SOME PEOPLE think that in ROTS, Captain Raymus Antilles also had a son named Colton Antilles. SOME PEOPLE think that Colton Antilles, not Raymus, is the man Vader chokes in ROTS.
THOSE PEOPLE ARE WRONG!!!!!
It has always been Raymus in ANH, and in ROTS the Captain Antilles we see is Raymus. Think about it: Lucas intended to have things connect between the two trilogies. Therefore, it would make sense to have a younger Captain Antilles appear in the same ship in which he would later be choked by Vader in ANH. If it was his son, that would be a loose and lame connection. Also, Raymus looks about 20 or so in ROTS, and looks about 40 in ANH; the perfecr passage of time for the right age.
But don't take my word for it, take others' words:
James T Skywalker, Forum Jedi and Walking EU Encyclopedia:
"How is this even a question still? It's always been Raymus Antilles who bought it in ANH. That's Star Wars lore. When did this whole thing about whether it was Colton or Antilles become an issue?
Just curious, I'd never heard why this was such a big issue."
Leland Chee (Tasty Taste), Keeper of the Holocron of Lucasfilm:
"It is Raymus Antilles who we see get choked by Vader in Ep IV. Captain Colton does not yet have a first name. And yes, naming Jeremy Bulloch's character as Captain Colton was a nod to acknowledge the fact that that Threepio says "Our last master was Captain Colton" in the Star Wars novelization. "
Abel G. Pena (Halagad), Star Wars author:
" Part of the confusion stems from the fact that ANH's Captain Antilles was referred to as Captain Colton Antilles in Chronicles Books' C-3PO: Tales of the Golden Droid, retconing the old ANH novelization reference. Unfortunately, the appearance was in an obscure source, and the Scholastic book Captive to Evil gave Captain Antilles the first name Raymus instead."
There you go. Irrefutable evidence. There is a Captain Colton, but there IS NO Colton Antilles. There is only one Captain Antilles: Raymus Antilles, seen in ROTS & ANH.
So don't take Wookieepedia as foolproof.
