A conceptual sketch originally meant to be Yoda as a young child was the model for Yaddle

Phil Eason (probably the same as this Phillip Eason) is a puppeteer from UK. He operated Yaddle in The Phantom Menace.

Jedi Master Yaddle is of the same species as Yoda. She is a quiet member of the Jedi Council during the invasion of Naboo. In the time for the Clone Wars is she not a member of the Council. She is presumed to be dead because what else could make her leave the Council?

Along with Yarael Poof she was removed from the Jedi Council because George Lucas wanted the members of the Council to fight and thought that animating Yaddle and Yarael Poof would be too costly and time-consuming.
