Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight of The Republic, was indeed murdered at the hands of Vader.
He cried at his own funeral as he decided to follow the voice of Vader n' go after Mace to see Palpatine's fate . . .
His descent to the dark-side began when he killed those Tusken Raiders back on Tatooine. The cancer, which would evolve into Darth Vader infected him right there! When he started his quest for greater power. Power enough to never fail someone he loved . . . again.
He didn't!
He sacrificed his life to save Padme's. He allowed Vader to consume him, he allowed Vader to kill, he allowed Vader to become him, all for Padme!
Because she was suffering . . . as his mother had!
She was dying . . .
Reading the above makes you wonder about the nature of the dark-side of the force. It makes one ask, what exactly managed to seduce that loving slave from Tatooine into the ruthless killer that was Vader? Who's failing was it, that Anakin was unable to defeat Vader? Who's victory, did this ensure. . ?
Anakin's path down the dark-side began by avenging the death of a mother he loved more than anyone else. His death was marked by his desire to save Padme from her death!
But then . . .
Isn't that almost a replication of what redeems Vader?
