The Tears Of A Jedi, Through The Eyes Of A Sith {II/III}

Darth Vader stood gazing at the enflamed lakes of Mustafar only to see emptiness.
The black sand & red waves of lava burnt everything with merciless wrath. He did not, however, need them to convey the darkness of this moment.

He had defeated Anakin Skywalker, and the Jedi Order, which would otherwise have been his greatest enemy.
He had killed the Separatist Leaders and had indeed brought an end to the dreaded Clone Wars.

But the flames of Mustafar burned his soul so effortlessly, that he could look upon them no more.

Instead, he looked within.
He could not find the greed for power which drove a Sith Lord. Nor the satisfaction of having fulfilled his destiny.
He saw only Padmé. Her beauty, her love, her life . . .

Anakin Skywalker wept.
Padmé's safety no longer worried him. She would be safe, becase Vader would make it so. But she would never accept Vader. She would never accept Anakin's sacrifice. She would never forgive him . . .


"So Love Has Blinded You"


Vader had the power to save Padmé. But he could not make her love him. Anakin Skywalker knew that she would never be his. He would not be able to save her from Vader. He could not defeat Vader. He could do nothing.

Darth Vader, on the other hand, could...
