The Tears Of A Jedi, Through The Eyes Of A Sith {III/III}

Darth Vader gazed through the helmet that would hide his face for the rest of his life.
Nothing seemed right. He stared into pain and despair knowing that the worse was yet to come...

He could not look within, so he looked towards the only voice that penetrated his mechanical ears.

He had done all this for Padme. He had murdered Anakin Skywalker and taken his place. He had destroyed the Jedi Order & ended the war. He had done all this, only for Padme. He loved her. Perhaps more than Anakin had loved her.

No, that wasn't true! He had never loved her. He never felt the need to. Padme was his! He did not have to love her, because he possessed her! She belonged to him! Or perhaps...

Darth Vader wept.
He had failed. His very existence had been a failure. All his power, all his rage, all his skill ...
They all meant nothing. Anakin Skywalker knew, within that moment, that Vader had never truly existed. It was all him. Only him.
He had failed ObiWan, the Council & Padme. He had failed himself...

"If Only You Knew The Power Of The Dark Side"

Anakin knew why the Jedi fear the dark side, and yet claim that it is fear which leads to it. Anakin knew why Palpatine had given him the illusion of Vader's existence. Anakin knew, and understood the true power of the Dark Side!

Anakin Skywalker wept.
He had failed. He was meant to have failed. He had fallen prey to the very nature of the dark-side and he could blame no one but himself. Vader was not a Sith Lord, but a representation of Anakin's fears.

It was in this moment that Darth Vader, The Lord of the Sith, was truly born, & it was in this moment, that he truly died.

Anakin Skywalker, could do nothing...
