As Jedi Master Mace Windu prepares to strike his final blow on Darth Sidious, he senses an overwhelming sense of angst & pain in Anakin Skywalker's heart. Anakin was enraged, confused and hurt . . .
He could wait no longer, he knew that his justification to young Skywalker was flawed. Anakin had indeed killed Count Dooku, but he doubted that the Sith Lord would have been cowering defenselessly at the time. He was about to destroy an unarmed and overpowered foe. Anakin was right, this was

The Chancellor was anything but powerless. He was glowing with the dark-side of the force. The Chancellor was killing an unarmed Jedi Master. And Anakin knew that this was his failing. He stood, too stunned to react, to weak to aid the benevolent Jedi.
It was in this moment, Anakin knew, that his destiny intertwined with that of the Jedi Order and the rest of the galaxy. It was in this moment, that he heard a voice. A voice so strong and serene that it stopped the very flow of time. The voice of
QuiGon Jinn. ObiWan's master.
His master...
