The Ballad of the Battle of Kashyyyk
The CIS massed, across the bay,
The question was who would strike first.
The Wookiees were fearless, as they always were,
But it seemed they should fear the worst.

A distress call was sent to the Jedi Council,
The Wookiees required an assist.
Master Yoda, a friend, decided to go,
But during the battle, there would be a sick twist.

He boarded a starship, and headed to their world,
The expanse of forests they called Kashyyyk.
When he got there, the situation, he would assess,
And his friends Tarfful and Chewbacca he would seek.

Upon his arrival, the droids were ready across the bay,
It was only a matter of time,
The clone army was ready, loading their guns,
They would rid the world of droid grime.

Back by the oil refinery stood a Jedi,
Instructing her troops, Wook and clone.
Luminara Unduli, green saber blazing,
A Jedi Master to the bone.

Out on the beach, Master Yoda looked on,
As clones taught Wookiees how to shoot.
They were outnumbered five to one, one recalled,
But they would give the droids the boot.

The droids began their assault with the crossing of tanks,
Barreling through Kachiro's bay.
General Yoda up on a tall balcony,
Leading to win the day.

A strong force of Wookiees answered the charge,
Under mighty Merumeru's command,
They drove forth fearless, roaring to no end,
Ready to defend, the time was at hand.

A brave Wookiee swung out over the sea,
Placing a charge on a droid tank.
He then returned back to his beach,
As the monster exploded and sank.

The fight pressed, on, explosions all around,
Until the droids finally took out the sea wall.
Wookiees and clones alike feared their bloody end,
But the battle was not over at all.

The Wookiees, they struck back,
With ferocity never before shown,
But not alone did they fight,
For they were backed by both Jedi and clone.

After the driving back of the CIS,
Far across the bay,
A terrible event was set in motion,
Ending the Republic's golden day.

With an order from evil Darth Sidious,
The clones betrayed their friends.
The Jedi were soon wiped out,
The Republic at its end.

'Twas the dawn of a new Empire,
One that would rule with fear,
The clones hunted down Yoda,
But through the Force, their approach he did hear.

He lashed out at his former allies,
Severing the head of a BARC and Commander Gree,
Tarfful and Chewbacca remained his allies,
And Yoda climbed on Chewie's back to flee.

The battle was soon over,
Clones hunting down Wooks,
As two betrayed them for their quarry,
Who for they would forevermore look.
