Things I Haven't Blogged About
Wow, looking back over the last few months, there are a lot of blogs that I didn't write. So here we go, rapid fire blogging!

The Force Unleashed
It came out, FINALLY! I played it, loved it, I didn't bother to write about it! I do thoroughly enjoy it. Actually, I just recently got 1000/1000 gamerscore on it, too. If you don't know, gamerscore is an XBox 360 thing. Each game has 1000 possible points to by doing things called "Achievements" and getting all of them is a tricky task in almost any game. This one involved beating the game on the hardest difficulty setting, which was a bit of a doozy but I pulled through, had a blast, and felt AWESOME at the end. Really fun game, I liked the story, but wish it had gone deeper. I liked the gameplay, I wish there was more content. But still very fun. I kind of want to get the book, actually.

Book Trilogy Review- The Bounty Hunter Wars
Months ago, I said that the fact that I hadn't yet finished the books was a testament to how boring they were. That pretty much sums it up. Well, I wanted to know what happened to the characters, it wasn't uninteresting, it was just... dull, I guess. The whole trilogy had it's moments. I liked the stuff about Kuat, there were some surprises, and Boba Fett was his awesome self (although he was unusually talkative). But overall, I just wish it was one or two books, not three.

Book Review- Death Star
Holy crap this was awesome. I couldn't put it down. Some reviewers said it was lacking in the plot department, but I say that this book is proof that all you need are characters. I knew how it was going to end (or at least I thought I did) and I still was fascinated, wondering how it would all come together, and boy did it come together.

Clone Wars!
I uh, didn't actually see it. I didn't plan for it ahead of time, then I heard terrible things, and lost interest. I saw one episode of the show, though. I can only think of two things:
Why did they insist on making a kid's cartoon show instead of something all fans can appreciate and respect?
Why the Clone Wars again? We didn't need this.

Current Reading Update- New Jedi Order
*Sigh* back to New Jedi Order. I really can't get excited about reading these books. I'm reading Balance Point right now, and liking it a lot less than even the other NJO books. It's disjointed and sometimes confusing. Every scene with character exposition seems identical. The view keeps changing, but what the characters are thinking never do. It's the events and what the Yuuzhan Vong are doing that's keeping me into it.

Rant #1
I have to admit, I'm just not a fan of the the Solo kids. They remind me too much of the fact that the whole "Jedi" concept is plagued with genetic elitism. The whole GFFA has way too much nepotism for my tastes, but it's never more obvious than when you're staring at three force users who are not only given a free pass to the biggest Jedi Master's side, but are third generation privileged Force children, and still as strong as ever.

Rant #2
But what bugs me more, especially in Balance Point is the whole Mara/Luke romance. I read the Thrawn books, I saw how they got together, and I never for a second bought it. HU-UGE failure, Timothy Zahn. No story in Star Wars has ever succeeded in making me feel like Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker are a good romantic match. Mara is too wild and independent to want to settle, or fall for a nice guy like Luke. And Luke's love of saving people and strong women isn't enough to convince me that Mara is his soul mate. They're sort of opposites, but they really don't compliment eachother. And it gets on my nerves how smugly Mara looks at Luke as an innocent farm boy. And Luke is just nice, respectful, caring, empty and completely two dimensional as a husband. Is there any book out there that gets me to feel that these two would even date for a month, let alone get married and have a child?

Qui Gon Reborn
Twice, Qui Gon Reborn posted a blog concerning Karen Traviss.
Twice, I read it, and typed up a response.
Twice, the blog disappeared before my comment submitted.
I'm not clear on what the deal is. That applies to both the blogs' disappearance, and QGR's hatred of Karen Traviss. Both blogs had grossly exaggerated criticisms of things Karen said, and completely ignored that she actually has a point.

Wish List
Oh man, it's been a while since I've actually watched the movies. I've been itching. Maybe this thanksgiving weekend.
Still haven't read Rule of Two.. I got to get it on paperpack. Man, what's wrong with me.
I want to read Legacy of the Force, (and Millenium Falcon) but damn NJO is in the way.

Wow, that's a lot of pent up blogging to get off my chest. Un-timely commentary, for the win.

Cya soon! Or maybe in another four months? We'll see! :D
