Next time you watch the prequels, keep an eye out for the Jedi Temple. Everyone has seen it, but did anyone else notice just how freaking massive it is? In Revenge of the Sith, when Obi-Wan and Yoda are assaulting the Jedi Temple, you can really get a sense of just how large it really is.
[You can stop reading right here if you want to. That's pretty much all I have to say]
There's the five spires, yeah, and those are the obvious part. But then those are built on top of a
huge block. On each side of the block there is a big section sticking out. At the bottom, there are some smaller, block-like pillars sticking out from them, with relief statues of Jedi on them.
You can see this all very well in the establishing shot of the aforementioned scene.
But then the next scene reveals those
tiny little pillars at the bottom to be actually quite large, relative to a humanoid.
Normally, you see and think of the spires. But they're just little sticks out the top of that huge block of a building. And the grand entrance is just a tiny little part of that.
I have nothing more to say, just keep an eye out next time, because the Jedi Temple is really really big. Way bigger than most people think of it, I feel.
