 | Obi-Wan's Success Secret: Cut off the Arm |
Have you ever noticed why Obi-Wan is so successful in battle? He always cuts off the arm of his adversary. For example:
Episode II
Cut's off Zam Wessel's arm in the Outlander Club.
Cuts up the Acklay in the Geonosian Arena.
Episode III
Cuts off Grievous' extra hands in the Utapau hangar.
Anakin on Mustafar. Enough said.
Episode IV
Dr. Evensan and Ponda Baba both met their fate in the Cantina.
Only in Episode I he killed Darth Maul by cutting him in half.
Not to mention the Clone Troopers and Battle Droids he killed.
That's why Obi-Wan is so successful.

That's supposed to be "took" out the armies, not "too out the armies," which makes absolutely no sense at all, and makes me look very stupid. Ah well...

So successfull??
Really doubt it. Look at his battle against Jango Fett,
and the 2 times against Count Dooku.
Plus, Zam and the Cantina guys are NOTHING at all~

I would have to say that Zam and the Cantia guys were ARMED, so they were something.

But they weren't armed for long. *Zing!*
So popular is this kind of manoeuvre, it has its own name in Star Wars lore: cho mai, the art of lopping off someone's weapon hand. There's more here

Obi-Wan was trained in the IV of the VII fighting styles and methods taught at the Jedi Temple. I guess he was taught to cut of people's arms over there...

1. Form IV has nothing to do with cuting limps, in fact none of the Form
particaularly taught that.
2. Obi-Wan practice Form III in Episode II.

obi wan is the most successful jedi of all. he killed maul, grevious, and defeated anakin! What other jedi took out as many big ones? All you darth fans are losers.

Obi-Wan RULES!!!!!!!!!
He disarms his enemies single-handedly, has them eating out of the palm of his hand & leaves lots more time on his hands to cut off some more hands
Man I'm confusing myself!
All I know is I'm a big fan of young Obi-Wan (old Ben: POV eh?Pfeh. Excuses.)

That'll be cool if they meant that to be the case, kinda like the added some strategy to his lightsabers duels!
Rock and Roll.

Perhaps you are correct. He was Ankain's Master and we all seen how Anakin took care of Darth Tyrannus (Count Dooku). And we need to come up with some "Sith" names for Obi-Wan and Yoda etc., Y? Cause everyone must have wondered at least once "What if...?"

well to add on to what all u said, all i hav to say is that Obi Wan believed in dis-arming the opponent not killing him or her straight up.He must have told Anakin to do the same and Luke also.By doing this he may not kill the enemy but will stop him or her and also leave them useless and hopeless.

well it seems to me it'd be rather obvious b/c he walks aroundwith a laser sword so you'd think swingin it around in a fight you wouldn't care what u cut off as long as ur foe is dead.

Look at anikin, his apprentice, he cut off dooku and a nemoidian (one of the sep leaders, not gunray) on BOTH arms. Obi's passed the gift.
