Superman Returns Review
The new summer blockbuster "Superman Returns" is full of action and excitement and pays tribute to the wonderful original 1978 film.

The film stars Brandon Routh as the Man of Steel, Kate Bosworth as the beautiful, gutsy reporter Lois Lane and Kevin Spacey as the maniacal Lex Luthor.

After 5 years of being gone from Earth, Superman returns to a world full of dispair and in need of a hero. Everyone on earth welcomes him back, with the exception of Lois Lane who has moved on with her life and started a family with her fiance Richard White, played by James Marsden.

While this is going on Lex Luthor, develops an idea to create a new world using Superman's crystals he left in the Fortress of Solitude.

With time running out Superman must stop Luthor from destroying the world and rescue Lois and her son Jason from Luthor's clutches.

The film itself is full of amazing special effects, and follows a great story that is reminicent of the original 1978 film.

You may suffer from a case of nostalga right from the beginning with the intergalactic credits and Brandon Routh's performance of Superman/ Clark Kent is a wonderful portrayal of the late great Christopher Reeve's performance.

Superman Returns is rated PG-13 for violence and some language.

My Rating: 4 Lightsabers.
