the true jedi code?

I have seen quite a few blogs since I joined hyperspace including the "real" jedi code? My Question is whats the true one?

When TPM first came out I purchased the scrapbook of it and it contained a papragraph labeled as the jedi code. Is this the "correct" one?

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use teir powers to defend and to protect, never to attack others.
Jedi frespect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others, rather than ruling over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselfs through knowledge and training.

In the books and comic books the jedi make references to the code I posted above. In tales once someone says "There is no passion there is serenity. Sound familar?" And the other jedi says something like "Don't act like I'm a youngling, quoting the jedi code to me." I found a few sites that have the code I posted listed as the jedi code. I'll post again when I find them.
