tears, tears, and more tears

Its about time, but I finally got my own copy of ROTS! I was so excited to finally be able to see it again. Sadly, I was only able to see ROTS in theatres once. The movie was pretty long and I had a large coke and medium popcorn, so it wasnt easy sitting throughout the entire movie without at least one bathroom break, but my bathroom break occured during the battle between Yoda and Palpatine. So today after my aunt gave me my new DVD I went straight to my bedroom and watched the movie!

It was awsome! It was so sad during some parts I cried. Some of these parts were when Vader killed the younglings, when Anakin force choked Padme, the entire fall of the jedi, when Anakin was burned, and of course when Padme died. I had seen the movie once before, know what was going to happen, but still couldnt help but get a bit teary eyed through those parts. But then It made me smile after seeing the twins with their new family's.

After seeing the moview again it left me with a question:

Owen Lars seemed some what happy to see baby Luke after Obi-wan brought him to his wife, but why does Owen seem to have so much torwards Obi-wan? Obi-wan did bring him baby Luke, Luke helped Owen so much throughout the seasons on the farm, so without Obi-wan Luke would have never been brought to them, but still in ANH he sure does have lots of hatred torwards him.

but it was about time I was finally able to see the movie...i have not yet seen the deleted scenes yet though, but I will later on tonight.

date Posted: Nov 12, 2005 5:30 PM Owen didn't hate Obi-Wan he just didn't want Luke becoming a jedi. I don't think he wanted him to end up like his father. ( If Obi-Wan ever told Owen about about Anakin.)

date Posted: Nov 12, 2005 7:00 PM The first time I saw ROTS in theatres, I did cry, and I'm not one to cry, usually. I was with my frieds that night, so fortunately I didn't cry in the theatre, but it was hard to stop thinking about it when I went to sleep.

date Posted: Nov 12, 2005 7:34 PM I haven't eer quite cried while watchin ROTS yet and I've seen it 4 times total [ twice in theaters and twice at home ] but I've come close and I"m not usually one to cry during movies even if it is extremely sad.

well, as to your question about why does owen have so much against obi, well i really dont know, but i have a thought. in ANH, owen and beru have dialouge something like:
Beru: Luke's just not a farmer owen, he's got too much of his father in him.
Owen: That's what I'm afraid of.
and later in the movie, when obi and luke talk back in obi's house he says something like
Obi: He didn't want you to go on some foolistic crusade like your father
(something to that effect)
so maybe owen, just didn't want luke to be all adventerous, and he thought Obi-Wan might lead him in that direction?

just a thought!

date Posted: Nov 13, 2005 12:12 PM I'm so glad some one feels my pain!!!!!! I did get teary on those parts, and especially when Obi-Wan yelled at Ani at the Mustafar place!! You were supossed to destroy the Sith, not join them!!!!!!! ( from the movie)
