 | Boba Fett survive? |
As we all know, Boba Fett died a terrible death when falling into the sarlacc in ROTJ. Even the Databank says so! "Even the infamous bounty hunter Boba Fett could not escape the disgusting creature, as an out-of-control rocket pack deposited the armored hunter into the Sarlacc's gullet."
Reccently after replaying Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy I saw Boba Fett! The game is said to take place AFTER the battle of Endor, but why is Boba Fett there? I saw Boba on the level Ord Mantell. (currently a war torn city like Mygeeto) The missin was "weapons destuction." Your goal was to destroy 7 important weapons before they fell in the hands of the evil Empire. Well on the level you find Boba fett and hes very annoying and he wont stop shooting at you, and you cant kill him! He is your only enemy on the level. At the end of the mission you are suppose to kill him, but he flys away on his jet pack. So once again Boba Fett escapes death.
According to the databank he is dead, but why is he in a game that takes place AFTER his death?
comments appreciated,

According to the expanded universe Boba Fett escaped the Sarlacc thanks to his weapons and he was saved by a fellow bounty hunter called Dengar or something. Boba apparently reclaimed his armor and went to hunt down Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon in the Slave 1 and he also had the Slave 2 at some point. I have also played JKIII and I wondered what Boba Fett was doing there; apparently it was meant to be a surprise for the gamers and another foe. I always thought perhaps it was a renegade stormtrooper who had gone Boba-Fett style or another Boba Fett clone. Who knows?

If you read the novel The Mandalorian Armor it says that Dengar saves him from the sarlacc.

Boba Fett was saved from his terrible fate. if you read the databank it says something like "It would seem as if his carrer was over", which implies that it wasn't

I am not into the EU much myself, but the few books I have read are awesome!
including, labrynth of Evil and the jedi apprentice series. I am currently reading the ROTS novel and Dark Lord is at the top of my 'to read' list along with the Thrawn series. Give the EU a chance

In the Expanded Universe Boba's still alive. But according to George Lucas, he's dead. I think I heard that from the commentaries of Return of the Jedi...

Abba: The databank is divided into pure "Movie Canon" information. Which is the tab you were reading. If you hit the "Expanded Universe" tab to the right of that you can read info that's less "official" due to not being in the movies, but it IS in the databank.
Here's part of what they have to say about Boba Fett.
Fett almost lost his identity in the swirling dementia brought about by the Sarlacc's toxins. His resolve held, and he used his weapons to blast free of the beast.
Naked, wounded, and defenseless on the sands of Tatooine, Fett was rescued by his fellow hunter Dengar, who nursed him back to health. Fett reclaimed his armor and his reputation, returning from the "dead," and again taking on bounties.

The stories about Fett surviving have been around for a long time. And, there really is only ONE version of it. EU authors aren't looking for a way to bring him back... he IS back. And that makes a lot of Boba Fett fans HAPPY. Just because you disprove of the EU doesn't mean others can't enjoy it.
My opinion... If people can't enjoy the EU, then shut up and live with only the movies. As for the rest of the fans out there who want to know more of the story, we have the EU.
Sorry to sound angry, but I get frustrated every time anti-EU fans try to dscourage everyone from looking at it. MOST of it is good. Want to talk about contridictions? Start by justifying some of the movies own faults FIRST.

The "movies" tab in the databanks says it was Fett's supposed, not definate, death. And, as Rive Caedo said, the EU tab explains that he did survive, though it doesn't not go much deeper than that.
Personally, one of my favorite tales is "Twin Engines of Destruction," a comic in which Fett confronts and takes down Jodo Kast. Kast is a second-rate bounty hunter sharing Fett's favoring of Mandalorian armor. Using that armor, he is often mistaken for Fett, and does nothing to discourage that to make a bigger profit. Short, but cool.

dont mean to sound rude or offensive but here goes,
dude let me get this straight, you pay money to subscribe to a web site to post blogs and get exclusive info as most of us here do, yet u arnt aware of one of the most well know starwars EU facts.
now u kno rces stating this and each is different
1) shot his way out crawls out nakeds and scared
2) helpd by Dengar
3) the boba unleashed figure he blasts out with his jetpack
plus for all u ppl that dont believe in the EU i must ask why its starwars whats wrong with more starwars if GL had a problem he would say no and quit giving out the licences to authors, he would shut it down it he didnt like it, but he hasnt, its starwars and hey thats prity cool to me

plus GL added some EU content into ROTS so he must not have a problem with it
anakin has the scare Assaj Ventress gave him in a Republic comic book
they mention Quinlin Vos also from the Republic series

I agree with you swfan123456789, although difficult to understand your spelling. GL has the lead in SW, if he thought that the EU writers were contradicting his ideas then he would had closed the doors to those writers long ago.

Esay to answer... no need to argue frds...
1. If you consider MOVIES only, then i am sorry Boba Fett is dead
2. If you consider MOVIES + Continulity Canon Expanded Universe Material,
then i am happy to tell you that Boba Fett survived the Tatooine incident
and still alive during the invasion of Yuuzhan Vong
it's just that simple, depends on what do you consider...

swfan123456789- Yes I pay $40 for my hyperspace, but I am not much in tune with the EU univerese! If I see a book or comic or something that looks interesting yes I will read it, but where I live there are no major book stores or comic stores so I dont get many chances to see these books, and my parents dont allow me to buy much stuff online. I thought it was pretty awesome I saw 2 star wras novels at Walmart....which is around 30 min. from my house, so I do not have many chances for all the EU stuff.

In the war between the Movies and the EU... i say it actualy is true that Fett is saved from the Sarlacc... each and every word Written in evey novel in the SWs Universe is scutinized by the Lucas Books... if George did not want it to happen.. it would not be published! so i say boba lives...

Of course Boba Fett is dead, he lived a LONG time ago in a galaxy far, far away. I told my youngest nephew not to be afraid of anything he saw in Episode III because all of these people are dead now.

Hi. I'm new to this. I just wann say i played Jedi Academy game and u have ti fight Boba Fett. Although u dont get to kill him. He is just there as a distraction. I think he escaped from the sarlac coz he had his blasters with him, not to mention his flamethhrower and jet pack.
