Leia-Padme Blooper.
Recently after going back and watching all of the star wars movies I found an interesting blooper!

In ROTS torwards the end of the movie when luke and leia are born Padme dies when giving birth to them or shortly after. When Padme dies Leia is taken to the Queen of Alderan and raised there of no knowledge of her real mother, father, or twin brother.

Then in Return of the jedi IV when they all are on Yavin and Luke and Leia are talking she says her mother died when she was young but that she still remembers her.

LUKE: Leia... do you remember your mother? Your real mother?

LEIA: Just a little bit. She died when I was very young.

LUKE: What do you remember?

LEIA: Just...images, really. Feelings.

At first I thought maybe the Queen died but thats not possible considering shes PRINCESS Leia. Meaning if the Queen of Alderan had died she would have become the Queen and not just still a princess. The Queen of Alderan died when the Empire destroyed the planet of Alderan but Leia remained Princess because there was no planet for her to be the Queen of.

So this scene is VERY important. It gives off 2 bloopers and another hint to Leia becoming a jedi.

Blooper 1: The real Question is, Whats correct? Did Leia really remember her mother alittle bit like she says in IV, or did she die giving birth like in III?

Blooper 2: Pretty much the same as Blooper 1. Blooper 1 involves the remembrence of her mother. But blooper 2 is the DEATH of her. did she die when Leia was really young, or when she gave birth to the twins?

We may never know.

The hint of Leia becoming a jedi is when she mentions the feeling of her mother. IF Padme DID die givng birth then maybe Leia's force powers are strong enough to feel the presnce of her real mother there.

comments and thoughts appreciated,
Jedi Abba :D

Someone blogged this a few days ago and someone else posted an interesting answer. If you look REALLY carefully, the baby that is Leia has her eyes open from the moment of her birth and the baby Luke keeps his eyes closed the entire scene. It was proposed tha the Force caused Leia to remember what she saw in those few seconds before her mothers birth. Interesting theory.

I wonder if its possible that Bail Organa, told leia stories of her mother as a baby, then stopped before leia was old enough to start asking questions, then when luke asks if she remembers her real mother, and she responds with images, its really the images she was told by her adoptive parents. The feelings part is definitley foreshadowing the whole a second hope, should luke fail.

In the OT, the story was that Padme gives birth and takes Leia to Alderaan. Luke is taken to Tattoine to live with Obi-wan's brother, Owen.
In the PT, the story was changed to her dying at birth. But if you look at AOTC, the deleted scene of Padme's Room, the picture on the wall of her Legislative Youth Program - it looks like Bail Organa and her in the picture. So I'm sure Bail had lots of memories of Padme to pass on to Leia.

Owen was Obi-wans brother? I thought he was Anakins step father's son.....?:|

jedi_abba, I found the info thru a ROTJ movie script on the internet, so I'm not 100% sure on it's authenticity. But the original script says that Anakin didn't even know Padme was pregnant. Padme and Leia lived in Alderaan - Leia was raised as a member of the Organa family to hide her identity. And Obi-wan's brother Owen got Luke. Later, the Organa family told Leia to seek Obi-wan out if she got into trouble.

Great points in this blog jedi_abba. There are many hints in the script to Episode III: Fall Of The Republic (written in 1981 or something) which says Owen & Ben are brothers. Also that Anakin did not know the Padme was pregnant is STILL in the ROTJ novelization. This was not changed - nor was Obi-Wan's comment that Padme TOOK Leia to Alderaan to hide her. Messed up stuff.

I find it hard to disregard any of these things that were established however many years ago, and the whole "Many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view" is not an explanation for me.

In the concept art book, artist Ian McCaig says he wanted the Queen of Alderaan to look a lot like Padme, and drew her accordingly. How do you know that the Queen of Aldeaan didn't die when Leia was "very young?" Which raises the questions, Does Leia know she's adopted? Why would she know, anyway?

Remember when Yoda says there is another? Well thats the point her, Leia has memories and Luke does not , so Leiawould be... stronger, but thats not what being a jedi is about. also, Leia does not take after her mother at all, her father in fact, because of her fiery nature and respect for her self and others although she does what she need to do.
Also ROTJ was VI not IV. VI is 6 and IV is 4, learn roman numerals(no disrespect to Abba or others). Also if you notice Padme made eye contact with Leia, not Luke, so that contact endured. Also, Leia was there in secret so the queen could not tell her true mothers origins (Leia thouht the Queen was her mother and king her father.)
