Of all the many elements of the Star Wars storyline, politics pushed it forward the most. If it hadn't been for political disputes of hyperspace trade routes, Anakin would never have been discovered. However, these vital details are a little bit hard to grasp without knowing the entire history of the Old Republic.
I fell in love with Star Wars ever since my dad showed me Episode IV, which he'd had taped by his friend for Betamax. I loved the story of a bunch of freedom fighters resisting the evil Empire and trying to free the galaxy. It was so easy to understand what was going on. It was that way until the prequels came along. Then everybody was talking about senator this, chancellor that, my planet this, their system that. I had to watch Episode I 4 times to understand what was going on for sure. Not that I didn't love it from the first time I saw it. Of course I was stunned during the lightsaber battles with battle droids or the big space battle at the end, reminiscent of the OT. All I'm saying is that, to make Star Wars slightly more perfect, please make it a little less complicated.
A little less complicated.
I wish the world could be a little like that. I'm really into politics, but I wish things were a little simpler. As much as I follow the news, I still don't understand what happened with the CIA lady and Scooter Libby's indictment and everything in that whole scandal or whatever.
Oh, forget it. We'll never truly understand. That's why I have some advice:
Never discuss politics or religion with anyone that you don't want hating you.
On a totally different note, I've been camping in Canada for the past 20 days and hence have no idea what this new CGI series is other than what the latest issue of Star Wars Insider says, so please explain for me.
