The Busted Hyperdrive Factor
First off, allow me to apologize for my unexcusably long hiatus. I hope you will read my blog again as there is no point in writing one if no one reads it.

Did you ever notice that in life, many things "snowball"? By this, I mean that small, seemingly unimportant things can lead to bigger and more important things and even bigger and even more important things. The smallest decisions, the most unnoticeable imprecision of language- many things can grow far beyond what we first percieve them to be.
This principle exists no less in the Star Wars Universe. Minor disputes over hyperspace lanes have led to planetary blockades. Attempts to run those blockades have led to busted hyperdrives. Busted hyperdrives have led to emergency landings on Tatooine. Emergency landings on Tatooine have led to run-ins with Force-sensitive nine-year-old slave boys. And run-ins with Force-sensitive nine-year-old slave boys have led intergalactic wars, and... well, you get the picture. These small matters, which seem unimportant when compared with the grand scheme of things, may "snowball" into matters so important that they permanently change the grand scheme of things altogether.
Take one of Anakin's cases. Befriending Chancellor Palpatine seemed harmless, didn't it? In fact, it may have even been beneficial, had Palpy not secretly been an evil Sith Lord. But doing so led to killing Mace Windu, wiping out the Jedi, and eventually becoming the most powerful being in the Universe.

People may say, "Don't sweat the small stuff."
However, I strongly advise against this. Always sweat the small stuff.
One of my many sayings I live by which is (sort of) related to this:
"Life by the inch is a cinch, but by the yard, it's hard."

Just a thought.
