Why Ep 7-9 Would be the Star Trek Nemesis of Star Wars

Let's face it, Episode 7-9 would be the Star Trek Nemesis of Star Wars, and as much as I love Star Wars, we should be looking backwards to Episode 0 or KOTOR - not forwards. Here's my reasoning...

We were missing a lot of Jedi appearing in Episode 3, and one of those was Barriss Offee - a Jedi who had a duology set of books written about her! I know people have their favorites of Shak ti (reportedly killed by Anakin during the templte purge) and

There is a theme present in both Ep1, Ep2, and EU books during this timeline that show us that the Jedi started to loose the Clone Wars after their very first victory. Yoda has the wisest of the comments to Obi-wan and Mace at the end of Ep2 when he says
