Initial Thoughts on Episode 3
I felt that this movie delivered all the right punches that it needed to. There were obvious challenges to overcome in tying together the plot and displaying the inner thoughts of a character going evil. Overall, this was done very well. The interaction between Padme and Anakin was on the money this time around, and there were several times when you felt so sad for Anakin and Padme as Anakin was twisted by the darkside.

When Anakin turns to Vader and is screaming on the table, this gives you a good insight to how Darth Vader lives the rest of his life. He is tortured, in pain both mentally, emotionally, and physically. He is haunted that he lost Padme, because when he could have been doing something to save her, he was being selfish and that destroyed everything. Perhaps by Episode IV

There were a few very minor sticklers that I was hoping for more on:
- The aquatic in-movie play looked like a bubble with Tad poles, I thought there would be a lot more detail in the play, showing something cool about the star wars universe. Perhaps they ran out of CG time/budget?

- When Mace and Palpatine fight, the book talks about how Palpatine is this blur of a shadow, and Mace goes into his own blur using Vapaad (darkside form of lightsaber fighting), and they are intertwined in this almost yin-and-yang battle. However, the movie looked pretty much like a normal light saber fight.

- I really wanted to hear Qui-Gon's voice, not just see Yoda meditating and mention his name after wards.

- Darth Vader's scream when he wakes up in the suit is suposed to shatter the entire room, and even shaken the emperor. The movie seemed weak in comparison.

- Is it just me or were some of the light saber fights too fast? The original trilogy was too slow, Episode 1 with Darth Maul was just right in my opinion. And Episode 2 was also good, though Anakin vs Douku had too many close ups in the fight.

- The Jedi purge didn't show all of the masters dying. I am hoping so bad that some of these characters come back in the TV Series as the early starters of the rebellion (come on Bariss Offee!).
