Confession #2
It's that time again. Time for you to point and laugh at the hilarity of my past relationships.

His name was Palo, we were both in the Legislative Youth Program...

Actually, his name *coughwillremainsafelyanonymouscough* and we were both music geeks. He was a SENIOR (one of the most talented music geeks) and I was just a little lost freshman. One day we both happened to be hanging out in the band room after school (as all the cool people did;)) and the rather large group gathered there got to talking about our favorite movies. Me being the dramatic little girl that I was had to have a countdown. #3: Ghostbusters. #2: The Indy trilogy. #1: Star Wars OT, of course (only TPM had been released at this point). I'm telling you, I was very dramatic! I had everyone's attention, including Palo's.

OK, this is lame, JP. When are you going to get to the good stuff?

Now! Gee golly, you're impatient, people...

After hearing me say something like, "But the films I absolutely love more than anything in this galaxy and would probably sell my arm to star in, etc. are...STAR WARS" he got down on his knees, took my hand, and pulled an Anakin:

"You're an angel!"

That was it. I was done for. Signed, sealed, delivered. As that line sunk in, I began to imagine so many wonderful things...(I was 14, let's keep in mind!) and some of them actually came true. A couple months later, he did indeed ask me to prom (me=lucky little freshman of whom other girls were oh so jealous), we did date for a bit, and he did give me lots of cool SW stuff. We watched the films as often as possible and he even threw me a SW b-day party complete with cake that said "Jedi Princess." I still have the little R2 & Luke toppers. We seemed to be a match made on Naboo, but alas, we could not survive the summer. He was a pretty big fan of The Saga, but that simply wasn't enough to keep us together. If only I would have known...but hard to see, the dark side is, er...the I'm going away to college so we should probably end this now side. ;) Plus, I was so very young. I've grown up (just a little) since then. Now I require LOTS more toys!:D

You better believe I never heard the end of that one, though. Anyone that knew anything about SW immediately caught the connection in his shameless pickup line and teased me to no end. I don't know why I'm writing this entry. I'm just inviting such torture back into my life...

But I just had to get this off my chest. I really do feel much better now.:)

Oh, and another thing. He pronounced "Leia" as if it were "Lee-ah." What the-? Hmmm...where have we seen this before? Do I have a sign on my back that says, "Don't worry, I think the fact that you cannot pronounce Star Wars names correctly is hot, so go ahead and hit on me"???

*sigh* If only...

Forcefully,
JP
