Introductions

Greetings friends. Big news from the Princess's chamber. I am now the proud mama of my very own pet. Not my family's, my own. This is a big first for me-- right up there with graduating, getting my own apartment, figuring out how to turn on the radiator heater. etc.

I knew the minute I picked him up that this was the one. When he immediately started purring & snuggling up to me, there was no way I was going to leave that shelter without him. I had seen his pictures online, but nothing could prepare me for the complete awesomeness that is my kitten.

Naming this cool little guy was a big challenge. Some of the Crew knows that I had a revelation while watching ROTS at our recent youngilng shower for AS1: General Grievous would be a freakin' great name for a kitten. (Am I right? I'm sooo right.) My little fella had this precious cough the first day I brought him home, so you have NO IDEA how tempted I was to name him after our favorite coughing cyborg. Still, another name kept popping into my mind, one that somehow seemed better fit. In the end, after a long struggle, I decided on his name.

So, blogosphere, let me introduce my new best friend:

Boba Catt.

And because one simply cannot have enough pictures of one's pet, here are some more.

He loves the computer, so watch for his blog. Any day now...

date Posted: Jan 31, 2008 11:31 AM Awesome, kittens are so much fun. Especially when you give 'em a little catnip and some toys! I give you a month before you get him a pal. Here are some pic's of our (my wife andI) pets Smuckers and Jif (the cats), and Murray (the one is not a cat). As you can see Smuckers also loves the computer.

second, when your blog opened, and I caught sight of your chosen SW photo, I couldn't help but burst out in laughter.

I know I'm really late, but I just had to comment on your new 'baby'.
He looks so precious, I love grey kitties, and the name, rocks! When my boys hear it they'll be wanting another kitty so they can name it the same.

So, you got it at the shelter? Aren't shelters hard places to leave with only one kitten--my heart always breaks for those that are left behind.

Anyway... Loved the pics. and the blog, of course. Nice scratching post btw.

You said it! There was this other precious grey stripped kitty with the most beauuuutiful bright green - no emerald - eyes, but she wasn't ready to be adopted yet. Otherwise, I might have 2!

Hi! We are the kids with the cat Princess Leia. Boba Catt is so cute! He looks just like our cat (except Leia is gray and white with some black, brown and tan). She also thinks it is her house and we just live there. She loves to wake us up in the middle of the night to play! How old is your cat? Because you refer to him as kitty, so do we, our cat is between 2 and 3 years old, we do not know her real birthday so the vet said let's make it Valentines Day. We both have such wonderful cats!
