FEARLESS AND INVENTIVE
I have been watching ROTJ lately, once a day for about 3 days now. Remember when Leia shows up at Jabba's Palace disguised as a bounty hunter with Chewbacca in tow armed with that thermal detonator? Didn't Jabba say the bounty hunter was fearless and inventive, his kind of scum!

Couldn't that describe all of us???? ...fearless and inventive is what I'm going for here!

Just think about everyone here on these blogs. We have to be brave to tell the stories we tell. We write of relationships with friends and family, children, grandchildren, economic misforturnes, our jobs and lack of jobs, our co-workers and sometimes our personal feelings slip in. It's not easy putting your ideas and feelings out here for all to comment if they please. In some cases not even our closest neighbor gets to know us as well. We have all forged friendly relationships here. We e-mail each other outside of this site. Some of us have formed groups that continually look after each other in one way or another sharing our joys and sorrows. If one of us is gone from these blogs a while we ask about them because they are missed. It's fearlessness that lets us give of ourselves hoping to be accepted just as we are. Just as Luke (the dreaming farmboy), Leia (the sassy brave princess) and Han (the handsome somewhat selfish smuggler) were fearless in their new relationship without ever meeting beforehand, without ever really knowing each other and that bravery eventually gave way to a caring, loving friendship between them accepting each other for who they were.

It was with fearlessness that many of us decided to join in celebrating 30 years of SW in LA this past May knowing it would change the "strangers in cyberspace" status between us. For those of us who attended C-IV, it was a privilege to meet and spend time together accepting each other as we are, albeit short and leaving us thirsting for more of each other's company.

To those who couldn't attend CIV we all know we all hold a special place in our minds and hearts for each other.

Inventive...well that just the thing about these blogs. To write an entry here time after time you have to be inventive and somewhat entertaining to get your point across . So many stories we've written and read, so many ideas we have thrown out to each other, different theories and even the comments on each other's entries have a creativeness to them that captures our imagination and brings out the playfulness in us that's hidden behind our computer screens.

It is our love of Star Wars that brought us together but it is our fearlessness and inventiveness that keeps us caring for each other and seeking each other's company.

As for the thermal detonator, you may use your inventiveness to figure where it fits in this entry.
