Years Matter Not (Gone Crazy...Be Back Soon)

TWO NAPKINS
In my short blog history 3 or 4 of my entries have been about one of my grandsons, Ezequiel, affectionately nick-named Checky. His love of SW began about 2 years ago when I started him on the path of the GFFA with ROTS.

He visits me practically everyday with his Mom (they live about 5 min. away) and plays with some of my collection, mostly my 3-1/2" Clones, Scorch, Comander Cody, Anakin, Lando, Boba Fett, the MF...you get my drift. Anything & everything I let him play with makes him happy because he doesn't have many SW toys.

Yesterday about 7pm he arrived at my place running toward me and putting out his hand said "here, these are for you. Put it with your SW stuff." I asked "where did you get them?" He replied "Phillip had a birthday". Checky is in Pre-K.

Just imagine him at lunch time eating birthday cake with his class, yet picking up 2 SW Clone napkins for me, thinking of his grandma, taking the time and the care to bring them to me in perfect condition.

I find it amazing for a 5 year old. His Mom told me he had them in his back pack.

Even tho I'm going thru the most horrible time of my life, this loving gesture from such a "SMALL" child means the world to me, brought tears of joy to my eyes and all the realization of his love for me...all the love in the world.

Sometimes life brings overwhelming tragedy, but it also brings heartfelt joy. Something I should remember more often.

What a sweet gesture! Lots of times my youngling will point out SW stuff to me in stores, she'll call me when there's a Clone Wars commercial on, and she'll tell me when a TV show makes a SW reference. Our little ones sure know that SW is a huge part of our lives.

Lily, like ami, I've been thinking about you and sending positive Force vibes your way. Love ya!

What a beautiful story, jl!!! :D Sometimes the greatest gifts come in the smallest packages. :)

You know you'll never be able to use those napkins, now, don't you. ;

And what I want to know is . . . do you get down on the floor and play with Checky as he creates one or another scene from his imagination??? ;) :)

Thank you so much for sharing this touching story with us. :)

That was beautiful. So often, it's not the size of the collectible, but how it was given... and from whom. Your grandson is clearly being raised right!

The Force is strong with this one. If you only knew to what extent, it would amaze you.

What a really special kid you've got there. Being my grandson I'm kinda partial.

do you get down on the floor and play with Checky as he creates one or another scene from his imagination??? Sometimes, but mostly we just sit & watch the movies while he asks me tons of questions.

The love kids have is just so pure. That's the thing about kids...they do stuff for you just because that's what makes them sooooo special.

What a touching story! And when a child does something, this is because his/her heart tells him/her to do so, this is pure love, with no interferences.
This is the mistery of life, some die, some open up to life, bringing the corresponding amount of love and these clean, transparent eyes .... Life is bearable because of this, sorrow is mixed with happiness ....
You are always in my heart, and and I am really happy reading that you have such a lovely grandson. Enjoy him as much as you can, and let him enjoy you as welll:x
