How Star Wars Helps My Sanity
I was a Star Wars fan for years, but who knew that as an adult I would be thrust into major fandom due to stress caused by dealing with my husband's illness as well as my own.

One of my newer ways of redirecting my focus from my husband's problems in order to de-stress is autograph collecting. However I am just collecting SW-related autos since there are few others out there I actually want.

Since I've been is from Dragon*Con I've been to Urgent Care, The ER and Michigan THREE with hubby. While I was gone (at D*C) his legs and feet swelled up horribly and took over three weeks for the swelling to go down (thanks to double Lasix) and he can

It's literally been months since I have blogged here. I have returned to college...20+ years later... and it has been a challenge. When I was in college, ROTJ was still at the theatre (the first run). Wow.

When we were finally awarded our Social Security Disability, we decided to move a little closer to Mark's doctors. We weren't really that far away mile-wise, but the traffic could make the trip anywhere from an hour-and-a-half to 2 hour or more drive

The first few years were tough. My husband never seemed to get better. The best he seemed to get was enough to make him ambulatory but little else. We lived in an apartment then up a flight of very steep stairs. Climbing those stairs was incredibly hard
