Symptoms of the Darkside...

Symptoms of the Darkside are listed below:

1. Red lightsaber

2. Yellow eyes(in some cases)

3. Deformed face/body

4. Force lightning

5. Force choke

6. Urge to kill all Jedi

7. Urge to rule the galaxy

8. Darth as a first name

9. Dark clothes

10. Pale skin

11. Foreseeing things and telling everyone how it's just like you foresaw it

12. Overconfidence

13. Dieing in an overdramatic/cool way (you can come back there's always the EU)

14. A need for the Imperial March to play when you arrive

15. Dramatic entrance (this goes with #14)

16. Loss of limb(s)

These were the ones that I could think of, if you know of any other symptoms comment please. We must inform the galaxy of this horid thing. �

The Sith look and act the way they do as a result of their beliefs. They act in any way that will help get them what they want: absolute power and unrivaled authority. They are willing undergo the most dangerous trials and to sacrifice everything and everyone, even themselves, for their cause: galactic domination (and beyond). It is a supreme form of selfishness that masquerades as some kind of noble dedication. As to all of us being Sith, I find it unlikely any of us are willing to destroy those closest to us, or allow to be destroyed, for our own personal gain. I sincerely doubt Palpatine would consider any of us posters 'dedicated' enough to be worthy of the title of Sith - thankfully.

The clothes are not only dark but are also damn cool, better vehicles, better dialogue, cooler names and usually a cooler fighting style. One could go on...

I would disagree about deformity though. Dooku wasn't remotely deformed and neither was Maul - Sidious and Vader are unusual in that respect (I'm not including EU sith - many of whom are based on variations of the Vader/Sidious deformed template by design 4 continuity). Nice blog.
