In this great saga called Star Wars, there are many scenes that take place off camera. We know the essentials of what happened, but can only imagine the details of the situation. I just thought I would take some time to give my ideas on what happened in some of these situations and maybe stir up some fan debate.
The Capture of C-3P0 -- A New Hope
Did you ever wonder how C-3PO was captured by the Jawas? What transpired and what went down?
Firstly, I cannot imagine C-3PO really putting up any kind of fight. Just about anybody who has seen the movies would agree with me on that point. On the other hand though, I simply cannot see him just getting aboard the Sandcrawler without some form of fussing about. Knowing C-3PO he would probably scream out in terror upon meeting the Jawas (we know from the movie that he was afraid of them).
His capture would probably be unlike that of R2-D2's, I do not think that he was shot at by the Jawas. The setting would also be different. R2 was captured in a mountainous and rough terrain with lots of potential hidding spots. C-3PO saw the Sandcrawler out a flat and very open sand dune. And, also unlike R2 he willingly approached the Sandcrawler thinking it was a tranport that could save him.
So, here is how I see the scene going down:
C-3PO sees the Sandcrawler in the distance, calls out, and begins heading towards it. Eventually the Jawas pick him up on their sensors and begin to head towards him. Upon finally reaching him, the Jawas disembark the Sandcrawler and head towards C-3PO. C-3PO screams out in terror and tries to make a run for it. The Jawas quickly run up to him and threaten to shoot him, C-3PO surrenders immeadiately. They hustle him back towards the crawler and get a restraining bolt on him (they still have their weapons aimed at him). The restraining bolt is attached and they get him to stand under the giant droid vacuum device (I do not know what is called exactly, if it even has a name) and he is sucked into the belly of the Sandcrawler.
Well, thats just my take on the situation. Post your take on things here on my blog.
