On the way to our cabin I was able to watch (for the first time) the AFI Life Time Achievement Award for George Lucas. Is it just me or did anyone else get choked up/teary eyed when Mark, Carrie, and Harrison were up there? (Of course I can't expect anyone to remember that far back!...) Seeing everyone attempt to show George (and the rest of the world for that matter) gratitude for what he has created throughout his life was incredible. Yes, I said "attempt" because by no means can anyone sum up, in any of the words that the English language has to offer, how Lucas has affected so many lives. His work is so empowering and.. and...um..... there is nothing more I can say.
