Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen!

I would like to say that I was quite pleased with the artist's conception of Count Dooku in Volume I of The Clone Wars. He looks very much like the EPII Dooku that I've grown accustomed to.

Well-spoken and impeccably-groomed, he has all the panache that he has in the prequels. His fighting style has also remained unchanged. When he engaged Assaj Ventress in battle, Assaj mainly employed acrobatics in conjunction with her lightsaber, and even though Dooku suavely wielded his saber in return, he also broke forth with his characteristic force-lightning skills.

Dooku made 2 statements of interest in CW Volume I:

1. "You are not Sith...Sith have no fear. And I sense much fear in you." - in response to Assaj's claim to be a Sith

I'm inclined to disagree. Isn't it true in some cases that fear gave the Sith focus and made them stronger? Additionally, in EPIII, Dooku, himself, was fearful. Though he didn't scream or tremble, I could tell by the shocked look on his face and the way his jaw went slack when Anakin had the 2 lightsabers scissored at his neck that he was certainly afraid.

2. "She is more than a match for young Skywalker." - speaking to Sidious about Assaj

I found it odd that Dooku sent his new apprentice out to confront Anakin. Isn't it customary for Sith to be able to sense how strong someone else is in the force? That is why they hid Luke and Leia, after all. So, why couldn't Dooku sense in either CW, or ROTS that Anakin had grown stronger since their encounter in AOTC? Or maybe he did sense it, and was doggedly determined to hold on to past glories.

Last but not least, CW Dooku was marvelously-attired. As a matter of fact, Dooku is quite the GQ Gentlemen in the prequels as well. (If you compare his clothing to that of Sidious and Maul, you'll see what I mean.) He knew how to give elegant gifts as well...those twin sithsabers were just perfect for a lady like Assaj!
