Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
I believe that in Volume I of the Clone Wars, the artist's conception of Mace Windu was quite accurate. Mace was very, very powerful! In the opening scenes, we glimpse Mace taking down clones left and right with his purple saber. It was an excellent foreshadowing of what was to come.
A few scenes later, while Paxi Sylo looks on, there are several explosions in the dessert. The smoke (and dust) clears to reveal Mace standing there with his lightsaber. He expertly, almost effortlessly, deflects the bullets projected at him from all directions. When surrounded by literally hundreds of droids, he soared through the air and force-pushed them out of the way in order to clear a nice landing spot for himself. He pummeled one, dodged a hail of fire from others, and force-wiped dozens of others away with a wave of his arm. I was very impressed by CW Windu's speed, for he sprinted so quickly that, to the viewer, the droids were a blur.
In CW Volume I, Mace fought hard and fast, as he did in ROTS. However, when it came to executing Palpatine, Mace's compunctions held him back. It's a shame Mace died the way that he did, especially since we have so much evidence from CW that the force was very strong with him.
However, I was tremendously pleased with Mace's role in CW Volume I. I give it a 10!
Thank you for joining me.
*hugs and kisses*
